Массивная суповая чаша с поддоном выполнена петербургскими мастерами для дворцового столового сервиза. Чеканные гирлянды из листьев и цветов образуют картуши, литые фигурки орлов поддерживают раковины с вензелем. Завершает крышку чаши литой букет цветов и изображение фруктов.

Chasing, mulding

Since the middle of the XVIII century the new Western style rococo dominated the Russian arts. Complicated forms, lavish and intricate ornamentation of rococo met the demands of the Russian Court tending to pompous luxury.

The massive soup bowl with a tray was manufactured by St. Petersburg silversmith for a palace table service. The bowl was decorated with an intricate rocaille ornamentation. Chased floral garlands form cartouches, cast figurines of eagles support shells with monograms. The cover of the bowl is topped with a cast bouquet of flowers and fruits.

Севрский фарфор

В собрании Оружейной палаты имеются три сервиза, выполненные мастерами знаменитой Севрской мануфактуры. Сервизы были подарены Александру I Наполеоном в память о заключении Тильзитского мира. Десертный сервиз называется Олимпийским, сюжеты росписи — на темы античной мифологии.

На представленной тарелке изображен троянский герой Парис с прекрасной Еленой.

Sevres

The Armoury prossesses three services produced at the famous Sevres Manufactory. The services were presented to Alexander I by Napoleon in commemoration of Tilsit peace treaty. The dessert service is called Olympic since its painting depicts the scenes of the antique mythology. Each service consists of 140 items, any single item having its own original paiting.

The painting on the plate displayed here shows the Trojan hero Paris and beautiful Helen.

Серебро, усольская эмаль

В XVII веке своими искусными расписными эмалями прославился далекий северный город Сольвычегодск. Сольвычегодские мастера украшали эмалью главным образом предметы быта: чаши, тарелки, стаканы, черенки вилок и ножей, шкатулки, ларцы. Поверхность металлического предмета покрывалась белоснежной эмалью, на которую (особым приемом тонкой штриховки) наносился многоцветный эмалевый узор. Любимыми мотивами росписи были крупные яркие цветы.

Silver, «Usolye» enamel

In the XVII century a Northern town of Solvychegodsk became famous for its splendid painted enamels. These were mostly the utensils: bowl, plates, goblets, handles of forks and knives, that the artisans from Solvychegodsk decorated with enamel.
