Moulding, chasing, engraving, embroidery in gold thread
The comb was made of ivory and rock crystal, its setting is of gilded silver. The case was manufactured of green velvet decorated with embroidery. The stylized floral ornamentation was embroidered in thin gold thread. The case is fringed with a cord twisted of silver lisle threads.
Due to the talent and ability of an artisan, a commonplace and utilitarian thing became a real work of art.

Потир был поминальным вкладом царицы Ирины Годуновой в Архангельский собор — некрополь русских князей и царей.
Золотой потир, сделанный в художественных мастерских Московского Кремля в XVI веке, является шедевром не только русского, но и мирового декоративно-прикладного искусства. Вызывают восхищение его величавая строгость и стройность силуэта, черневые графические изображения и орнамент, безупречные по красоте и изяществу рисунка.

The chalice (a cup for consecrated wine used in the Holy Communion) was a memorial gift of Tsarina Irina Godunova to the Cathedral of the Archangel which served a burial place of Russian Princes and Tsars.
The golden chalice manufactured in the artistic workshops of the Moscow Kremlin in the XVI century, is a masterpiece of the applied arts and has a worldwide and not only local significance. Majestic laconism and and perfect proportion of its silhouette, irreproachable beauty and grace of its nielloid designs and ornamentation are really delightful.

Трон был привезен в Россию в числе других богатых даров царю Борису Годунову от иранского шаха Аббаса I.
Форма трона типична для Востока.
Деревянный остов облицован золотыми пластинками с тисненым травным узором, драгоценные камни — бирюза, турмалины, белый и черный жемчуг — в большом обилии использованы для его украшения.
Такая роскошь, красочность характерны для яркого, пышного искусства Востока.

The throne was brought to Russia among other precious gifts to Tsar Boris Godunov from the Shah of Iran Abbas I.
The shape of the throne with a low seat is characteristic of oriental furniture. A wooden body of the throne is embellished with golden plating with floral ornament, and is richly decorated with such gems as turquoise, tourmalines, white and black pearls.
